In this workshop you can create your favorite bowl, perfect for summer evenings.
Ductile and polyhedric, it will be an indispensable accessory for a true exciting and vitaminic summer. I will provide you all the materials you'll need to make your special glass bowl, made with glass fusion technology. Murrine, cathedral glass, strings, multicolor pieces of glass will be the tools you will find in order to compose your project. We will adopt a basic glass technique with closed oven.
The bowls will be available for technical reasons in the next few days.
We recommend comfortable clothing and closed shoes. Gloves, apron and mask are included and you will find them in the lab.
You can collect the bowls in the next few days in laboratory, by appointment.
Shipping costs are excluded.

FULL COLOR GLASS MELTING

Nearby the historic center of Brescia, in the area of Isolabella, is located my atelier of glass melting. It is closed to the historic “Borgo Trento”, that has always been characterized by the presence of artisan's ateliers. Here, immersed in colors and in a northern style environment, I create my projects. With this workshop I want to share my passion and knowledge for this amazing material. Everyone can get close to the world of artistic glass. In particular I'll make available some simple drawings and all the material that is needed to create an object through the plain glass melting technique. It will have dimensions of (25*25)cm, and it could be used as a tile or as an everyday object furniture. I'll take care of the shipping since the object needs a cooking and bending process of at least 36 hours. Otherwise it will be possible to collect it at the atelier by appointment during the next few days the cooking. Shipping costs are included in the price of the workshop.

MAKE YOUR CERAMIC MUG

During this hands-on workshop you will create a pair of tea mug or a pair of coffe cups. I will tell you about my experience with pottery and I will show you the different materials we can work with. We will choose together the most suitable technique, then we will design the mug and shape your creation, following your ideas. When it will come the time, we will have a break for a good tea and I will make you a special sweet gift to taste! Once our molding phase is done, you will choose the colors for your object and I will then cook it, glaze it and finally send it to you. If you are in Italy the shipping costs are included, while if you come from abroad we will find a way for the shipping.

THE TIFFANY GLASS SUNCATCHER

Maria Grazia will patiently accompany you in the discovery of glass, from the first draft to the actual creation of a magical piece that will fill your house with colorful glowing light. Every step of the workshop will be left to your creativity and hands, expertly guided by the artisan host. Discover the secrets of glass making with Maria Grazia: a hands-on experience in the creation of personalized glass suncatchers of any model and with any colored opaline glass made available. Then comes the time of using the special diamond glass-cutter to shape the pieces, the sharp edges of which will then be smoothed. The model is then put together with copper plating and welding. Finally, a hook will be applied to your creation before you can take it home and hang it.
