Our Atelier was born in 1939, at the initiative of our father Marcello and our uncle Vincenzo. It was then passed on to children and nephews. Culture, family, tradition, passion, sense of aesthetic are still the elements that lead us to face with Renaissance know-how. Focusing on restoration, faithful reproduction of the artifacts dated back the XV-XX centuries, on painting, on gilding, on marquetry, on turning, on decoration of vintage furniture, on the permanent study on how to get hold of the ancient techniques, on the attention to recover old woods and antique shoeing.
In our atelier is still possible to taste the smells, the colors, the techniques of the artisan's workshops.
Each piece is studied, designed, created and well-finished with patience, taking care of each and every detail. This process is gratifying and instill “warmth”.
The result is that each product becomes a unique-piece of his kind.
Our products range from furnish of the big public buildings to those of churches and convents, from nobles abodes to luxurious hotels. From wooden choirs to portals, from altars to XVIII century theaters. Not forgetting the reproduction of the very famous Intarsia of the small office in Gubbio of Federico from Montefeltro. The authentic one is exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

RESTORATION AND FAMILY
Maria Josè, restorer
We'll tell you the story of our artisan family, showing you the various activities, from faithful reproduction of vintage furniture, painting, gilding, restoration, cabinetmaking, up to turning. We'll experience together the emotion in the final creation of a wooden-tile. We'll use the pounce technique, the original gilding technique (“doratura a guazzo”), and/or the painting with colors prepared as our ancestors used to do. You'll keep the final artwork as a memory of the morning we'll spend together.

IN THE SIGN OF
Maria Josè, restorer
Do you want to learn the techniques of the XVI century knowledge? We'll show you and tell you our manual skills in restoration, in faithful reproduction of vintage furniture, in cabinetmaking, in painting and gilding. We'll re-experience emotions, the study, the passion in doing the faithful reproduction of the “Studiolo del Duca di Montefeltro”, of which the original is located at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. We'll have lunch together in a typical restaurant of Gubbio. Later we'll go together to see the replica of the “Studiolo del Duca di Montefeltro”. We created it and now it is possible to see it in its original location, at the Doge's Palace in Gubbio. In this important context, you'll have the chance to admire other fine artifacts that we restored.

We'll have lunch together in a typical restaurant of Gubbio. Later we'll take the cable car (“Funivia Colle Eletto”), to go to the Saint Ubaldo Cathedral, dwelling of our Patron Saint. Here we'll admire the “Ceri”, which are the icon and strength of the city. You'll get to know the history of them and of other artworks through the restoration.
