ITALIAN STORIES, WHAT IS IT?

Ciao! Italian Stories offers to travelers the opportunity to meet the best Italian craftsmen. We select for you all those skilled and experienced craftsmen who are willing to meet people in order to share their knowledge. So, if you are curious to see where they work, if you want to discover the secrets of the trade or if you just would like to meet them, then we are here for you.

 WHICH ARE OUR OBJECTIVES AND SERVICES?

 HOW DOES IT WORK?

It is so easy. First of all you need to create an account on our website.

If you are an artisan tell us about your job and the experiences you want to offer. If your proposal meets our guidelines it will be a pleasure to welcome you on board.

If you are a craft enthusiast, you just have to register on the website and search for the experiences you’d like to have.

 WHAT KIND OF REQUIREMENTS ARE NEEDED FOR THE ARTISANS’ SELECTION?

All the artisans are selected following a curatorial criteria based on some ethical values.

The artisan doesn’t have to meet all the principles, but every Italian Story includes at least a couple of the following values:

 HOW DO WE SET THE PRICES?

Every artisan sets the amount for the Experience, we don’t want to interfere with this decision. If the artisan asks for our support we’ll be glad to help him setting the price.

 HOW DOES THE PAYMENT PROCESS WORK?

The visitor has to pick an Experience, book it online and wait for the confirmation by the artisan. Once you get the confirmation, the payment will be processed and Italian Stories will hold the paid amount until the event takes place. When the Experience is closed we will transfer the net amount on the artisan’s bank account, setting aside our fee. The artisan should give to the visitor a payment receipt (based on his net price) at the end of the experience or by email in the ensuing days. When you get the confirmation of your booking we will send you an email with the receipt of our fee.

 HOW CAN I PAY ONLINE?

Every transaction is safely processed by PayPal. You can easily pay by your PayPal account if you already have one. If not, you can pay by your Credit/Debit card without registering on PayPal.

 CAN I CALL OFF A BOOKED EXPERIENCE?

If a visitor decides to delete a booking that has already been confirmed, we will manage the refunding as follows::

 WHAT HAPPENS IF THE EXPERIENCE DOES NOT TAKE PLACE?

If the Visitor doesn’t delete the experience or if he/she doesn’t show up, he/she will not be able to ask the refund and the artisan will be paid. If the Artisan doesn’t delete the experience or if he/she doesn’t show up, the Visitor can ask for the total refund. In case the Visitor faces some relevant problem during the Experience because of the Artisan, we will refund the Visitor.

 IF SOMEONE GETS HURT, HOW DOES IT WORK WITH THE RESPONSIBILITIES?

Our selection doesn’t include dangerous experiences. That said, the responsibility relies on the artisan that organizes the event, since he has to guarantee for the spaces in which the activities take place or he has to prove that an insurance has been stipulated for that kind of issues. Anyway, we suggest to follow our tips: if you are an artisan, you should propose safe activities; if you are a visitor, be aware of the activity you choose, even depending on your health condition. No one knows you better than yourself!

 WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO LEAVE A FEEDBACK TO THE ARTISAN?

We really care about feedbacks, they are so important to us. Italian Stories is a community first of a all, and we want you to share your opinion and to leave feedbacks in order to help other people when they are up to choose an activity. Moreover, it is important for the artisan so that he (and we!) can improve the service from time to time. That’s why even negative feedbacks are very important to us.
