Since childhood I've always been attracted by books, by their unmistakable smell, a mix between paper and ink. Most of all I wasn't able to explain myself how all those sheets could stay together with just a simple wire. In my imaginary that was such a complex operation that I was sure it was harder to create a book rather than a pair of shoes. In fact I used to watch my grandfather, who was a cobbler, every day, creating shoes with dexterity and simplicity.
It was maybe this primordial attraction of mine towards books, or maybe the daily contact with my cobbler grandfather, or maybe both, that led me to the final decision. I chose to withdraw from University, I'd say luckily, cause I would have been such a terrible lawyer! I thus began my artisan activity related to bookbinding.
Today we are here to create leather and fabric products, together with my wife Rita, my son Jacopo our friends Fausto and Angelo and other talented cooperators. That is how, almost magically, books, diaries, bags and many other objects take shape in our atelier, exclusively by artisan manufacturing.
