Paola is a designer of contemporary jewelry, an artisan and artist who works in Milan.
As a contemporary alchemist inspired by the future Paola has created Orotrasparente, a new lightweight material that is the result of five years of experimentation and research; an intractable material, light as air and clear as water, which makes you feel like the protagonist of a new era.
It all began with an idea when, in front of Ayers Rock, in the middle of Australia, I was struck by an inspiration: making beautiful shapes to the pure delight of men. My research began in 2004 in front of a window full of light overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and it is now going on in a laboratory on a courtyard of a “Vecchia Milano” building near the famous "navigli". After 20 years as Art Director in the mass media industry, I decided to start this long research toward a new ideal of beauty between contemporary mythology, archaic symbols but also the special harmony that happens when East meets West.

Bellissima esperienza. Il laboratorio, come luogo é un libro aperto: racconta tutta la personalità di Paola! Lei è davvero originale e appassionata, abbiamo passato un bel pomeriggio ed abbiamo creato i nostri “gioielli” in serenità e pace! Grazie davvero!

Partecipare al workshop con Paola è stata una bellissima esperienza, sinceramente qualcosa di nuovo rispetto al solito. E' stato il regalo di Natale per il mio fidanzato e ci siamo divertiti molto a smontare vecchi oggetti hi-tech per trovare qualche piccolo tesoro da poter riutilizzare per la creazione di gioielli. Nello specifico abbiamo realizzato un anello e un ciondolo, dopo aver smontato una stampante, una macchina fotografica e un cellulare. Paola ci ha accolti nel suo laboratorio pieno zeppo di meraviglie tecnologiche da reinventare, raccontandoci della sua esperienza professionale e personale e dei suoi progetti futuri. Sono state 4 ore molto piacevoli, un'esperienza da rifare e che consiglio tantissimo. Per fortuna al giorno d'oggi non ci manca nulla, piu' che regalare oggetti possiamo provare a regalare un po' di tempo ai nostri cari... E riscoprire artigiani e botteghe di cui l'Italia è molto ricca!
