I was born in Brescia. I've spent my childhood in a small village surrounded by hills and vineyards. In this marvelous and quiet environment I developed my passion for glass. Now, in fact, my favorite place is my Atelier. There I draw, I cut, I compose and I prepare glass. It is an ancient and fascinating element. It brought me to a continuous research for new shapes and new products to be used during the manufacturing. I find it incredible and amazing. Such a simple material has the power of making me dream about so many places, cultures, situations and collaborations. So many opportunities.
I love to mix different materials. In this way you can enhance the true nature of glass, and at the same time they suggest you something. It is here in my Atelier that I constantly create. From everyday things for the house to design objects.
The technique adopted to create my products is known as “Vetrofusione Piana”. What I'm doing is mostly focused on the design and composition phase, at closed furnace. Doing the “Vetrofusione” basically means to create a new glass. This is done through the assembly of different pieces. Once they have been heated they melt together, becoming a single piece.
A glass master uses two main tools: the heat and the force of gravity. “You have to arrange everything, so that these two elements will work for you within the furnace”. The result will depend upon the degree of communication among the Artisan, the glass and the furnace that is used.

Chiara è stata molto esaustiva nelle spiegazioni, i pendenti che ho realizzato mi piacciono e sono stati apprezzati anche dai miei amici. Forse mi sarebbe piaciuto avere un po' più di tempo per riuscire a preparare il mio lavoro anche nei primi dettagli. Una bella esperienza!

FULL COLOR GLASS MELTING

Nearby the historic center of Brescia, in the area of Isolabella, is located my atelier of glass melting. It is closed to the historic “Borgo Trento”, that has always been characterized by the presence of artisan's ateliers. Here, immersed in colors and in a northern style environment, I create my projects. With this workshop I want to share my passion and knowledge for this amazing material. Everyone can get close to the world of artistic glass. In particular I'll make available some simple drawings and all the material that is needed to create an object through the plain glass melting technique. It will have dimensions of (25*25)cm, and it could be used as a tile or as an everyday object furniture. I'll take care of the shipping since the object needs a cooking and bending process of at least 36 hours. Otherwise it will be possible to collect it at the atelier by appointment during the next few days the cooking. Shipping costs are included in the price of the workshop.

I'm waiting to welcome you in my lab in Brescia to create together your personal jewel made of glass. I will show you how I deal with colors and contemporary design in order to create unique special jewels. As main character of this experience you will make your own personal jewel under my guidance. You will then pick your creation up on the days after the experience or I can send it to you (shipping costs are not included in the final price)

GLASS FUSION AND HAPPY VALENTINE'S

Anyone can get close to the world of artistic glass. In this workshop, I will give you simple designs and everything necessary to create an object of about 25x25 cm, using the technique of flat fused glass. It could be a tile or an object of daily use for the decoration of the house, related in particular to your beloved. It can be a wonderful gift for the people you love. The cooking and bending processes require at least 36 hours, therefore the object will be sent to you. Otherwise, you can collect it directly at the lab, by appointment, after the cooking. The shipping is not included in the price of the workshop.

SUMMERTIME • CREATE YOUR GLASS BOWL

In this workshop you can create your favorite bowl, perfect for summer evenings. Ductile and polyhedric, it will be an indispensable accessory for a true exciting and vitaminic summer. I will provide you all the materials you'll need to make your special glass bowl, made with glass fusion technology. Murrine, cathedral glass, strings, multicolor pieces of glass will be the tools you will find in order to compose your project. We will adopt a basic glass technique with closed oven. The bowls will be available for technical reasons in the next few days.
